Riding in Emerald by ZebraSwag featuring
Still on that emerald tip… There is something comfortable about wearing green, and I have not been able to get away from my green leather slouchy wedges. To top it off, my friend sent me a new Emerald jewelry set, beautifully designed and created by her. I am finally getting in touch with my birth stone and I don’t see this going away any time soon! Above, something that would warrant green nails.

Sometimes, a girl just wants to look normal, but that does not mean sacrificing style. Carlos Miele and BCBG Max Azria present these simple outfits as inspiration. Neutral colors and straight hair have an aura of their own, so it’s a pass on the jewelry.

VPL continues the look with casual but strikingly clean outfit. If you want to go a little more ornate, Max Azria recommends sequins and a statement necklace.

The BE ALL and END ALL of jumpsuits was created by Charlotte Ronson (Spring/Summer 2009). Ciara “Work”-ed it in her newest video, Beyonce immortalized it in an interview with VH1 and the rest is history. I am not surprized that people are scrambling to buy it – if they can afford it. What could be easier than throwing on this one piece and not having to worry about the rest…

Not really feeling the whole Thanksgiving vibe this year… go hardcore on them. Upgrade a casual hoodie with a furry or studded jacket, throw on a legging, some embellished heels and smoke those eyes. Black is looking better to me these days.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post, but it seems that I am still fixated on the Fall/Winter 2009 Chloe collection. Just can’t get over the amazing shoes they put out this season. Today, I lost my voice talking about how amazing they are, so I had to immortalize them on Zebra Swag. It is really mind boggling how much quality shoes can affect my emotions… my heart was really beating faster while flipping through the shoes section on Chloe.com.

I usually don’t get so worked up about shoes that are inaccessible in terms of the price, but these are just out of this world. Butterflies in my stomach, no lie…

Is there a better over the knee boot than this?

These would last forever! They are still on the outer edge of accessibility for me right now… Maybe next year, I can afford such delights.

It is becoming increasingly necessary to get the wardrobe in shape for the fall. In case the memo did not reach you yet… Fall 09 fashion is all about the power woman. Tough, strong and confident… “make you do a double take” – à la Missy Elliott. For designers, this translates into emphasized shoulders, short dresses showing lots of leg and (our favorite part) though girl boots. In the boot department, all shapes, sizes and materials are fair game – the edgy-er the better! You know we’re obsessed with shoes, so we will start with the ankle/ mid-calf booties and leave the uber-sexy over-the-knee styles for next time.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again… you get the most wear out of your shoes if you go for a neutral color like bone, gray or brown. Forget simplicity. This time it’s all about embellishments like buckles, studs, intricate cut-out patterns and bows. The more the merrier. Get familiar with the aesthetic right here on the Zebreezy.

The style is somewhat easy to imitate. If you already have a pair of plain booties from a few seasons back, you can update them by adding the studs and buckles. Nowadays, studs are so in, you can find a skinny studded belt (like this one or this one from UO) and wrap it loosely around your ankle on the outside of the boot. The same effect is achieved and your savings will not suffer as much.

It is guaranteed that knock-offs of these styles will appear all around your favorite stores, so next time you are checking the sales, keep an eye out for the embellishments and add some 09 power to your look.
